  • What is the Administrators Guide to Technology Leadership?
    • A flexible approach to successfully incorporating technology into all facets of a school. School administrators must tackle a variety of issues concerning technology use in their schools. The new skills and roles required of students, faculty, and staff are dependent upon a skilled administrator knowledgeable about the effective use of technology. This flexible series of modules will allow you to construct your own courses to meet your needs and the needs of your school.

  • Who is eligible to participate?
    • All school administrators at participating Florida Leaders.net schools are eligible to register and complete AGTL courses

  • What are the costs involved?
    • The AGTL courses are licensed by Florida Leaders.net from the developer (AEL) and are provided at no cost to administrators at all Florida Leaders.net participating schools

  • How do I get more information?
  • How do I register for the courses?
    • Select the “register” button on the AGTL homepage http://www.floridaleaders.net/agtl

    • In order to register to use the AGTL website an administrator from your school must
      have participated in a Florida Leaders.net training institute

    • You will need to enter the last name of that person along with the zip code of your school

  • How will the online courses be moderated?
    • Courses will be moderated by your region’s Professional Partners (retired principals who serve as mentors to your school) who will automatically be assigned when you register for the courses.

    • They will monitor and moderate the completion of your activities in each of the nine modules and certify your completion of the module

  • How much time do I have to complete the courses?
    • There is no specific time limit for completing a course module however all activity on the site and completion of assignments is tracked and monitored to insure proper completion. Each course module will require approximately 6-8 hours to complete.

  • How many courses must I take?
    • You may take as many of the nine (9) course modules as you wish once you have registered at the AGTL site.

  • How do I get certificate renewal credit?
    • Certificates of Completion will be provided upon completion of each course module

    • Awarding of certificate renewal credit is determined through each school district’s professional development office

    • Florida Leaders.net will provide documentation as needed to support the awarding of in-service credit.
