CTCnet is a national, nonprofit organization of more than 500 independent community technology centers. This helpful Web resource provides answers and strategies for schools and communities that are planning to develop a community technology center or need ideas for an existing program. There is a detailed Center Start-Up Manual that provides extensive information on developing a plan and time line, staffing, software and hardware selection, budgeting, and funding. CTCNet also sponsors a national conference and regional Leadership Development Institutes.
