The Principal Connections CD-ROM includes a data-gathering
tool and video examples of a teacher demonstrating several stages
of technology integration. Use the tool and the video examples
to test your knowledge of the ACOT™ continuum.
- Insert and begin Principal Connections.
- From the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen, select
the fourth icon, the clipboard. This will take you to the section
titled "Classroom Closeup."
- Select the manila envelop on the center of the desk where
you will find the data-gathering tool.
Note that the form is divided into the four categories of resources,
teacher's role, instruction, and student engagement. Select the
"Practice Using This Form" tab from the manila folder. View the
video examples and select an appropriate stage for each category
based on the example. Compare your selection with the expert rating and summarize your
selections compared to the expert rating by posting a message to the discussion area.
Click the "Discussion" button on the top menu bar to view your response and the responses from other participants to this activity.
