The assessment covers issues related to hardware and software, basic operations, maintenance, telecommunications, and general use. It asks you to consider not only if you can perform a skill but if you feel comfortable showing someone else how to do it. A participant in professional development may not need to perform at the highest skill level, however people who demonstrate a high level of proficiency on numerous skills may offer valuable support both during and following training sessions. After completing the "Basic skills assessment" post your reflections on how this activity might be helpful with your own training needs, and what you have learned as a result of taking the assessment.
