Support and Follow-Up

Many professional development efforts suffer because initial activities do not receive adequate support and follow up. Technological and administrative support are necessary prior to, during, and following the workshop. This may consist of an actual physical presence to troubleshoot during training or coordinating efforts to monitor the effect of training activities through the remainder of the year. Teachers will be frustrated and your investment will be wasted if training addresses hardware that is not readily available in the classroom. Similar frustrations occur when training addresses software that is not compatible with hardware available to teachers.

How will you support and follow up this activity? Describe support during and after activities as well as follow-up activities

Classroom follow up to the initial workshop will include a peer support system. Peer partners will observe each other and share their use of the technology skills. Follow-up sessions with the trainers will be offered based on needs identified through the peer support program.

What resources will this activity require? What resources can you supply? What resources do you lack? Costs for remaining resources
